It's been a while. Lots of ups and downs.

1/ A day off and tea cooking before 10am!

2/ Catch up with the chores, the ironing mountain, hand washing.

3/ Catching up with the Tropic of Cancer. A fab programme.

Wednesday

1~blue blue skies when we got into town this morning. Such a pity we were going to lunch.

2~lovely lunch at an event.

3~fish fingers for tea! Not just for the kids!

Monday

1~Leaving for work in the morning and then leaving the office all in daylight. Still dark by the time we get home though.

2~Master T has been reunited with his appetite. Hurrah!

3~A little tidy up. Not sure it made a huge difference though!

Sunday

It's been a grim week - so much sickness. Hopefully we are all on the mend now.

1~A swift trip to the shops. Very swift in fact. I need to take a day off for a proper good look.

2~A trip to the seaside. Master t had great fun and it wore him out. Result!

3~Everyone eating a decent tea. Must be about two weeks since that happened!

Weekend catch up

We've been ill this weekend. Very grim! Not many nice things to report.

Saturday
1~a browse in the bead shop - but not in the mood to buy anything.

2~Australia.

3~ a tea that required no effort excpet heating up!

Sunday
1~Master T eating a bagel for lunch.

2~carrot and orange muffins made by moi!. Not to foget teh cheesy crumble biscuits.

3~almost feeling normal by the time I went to bed.

Tuesday

1~an interesting lecture about energy.

2~my tea cooked for me when I got home.

3~last day of chocolate for a while.

Catch up Saturday

1~doing a few jobs in the garden without turning blue. A good job well done!

2~playing trains with Master T.

3~a lovely meal with friends. It's such a pity we couldn't stay out longer. Master T had a great time and was very well looked after by the restaurant.

Thursday

1~Ms M's fabulous fake fur coat.

2~Ms S's fabulous lemon cake. I do hope it goes well for her tomorrow.

3~Egg curry.

Wednesday

1~catching up with Mrs F for lunch - an ex work colleague - but now almost colleagues again.

2~recovering from the explosion on my way to work.......what exactly was it? A bus?

3~rice crackers and hummous - they filled a gap when I got home from work.

Tuesday

1~ A visit from Baby R to the office today. Maybe we should become a creche and all take our kids to work. It would brighten the day up - but maybe it would be just too stressful.

2~The shadow cast by the streetlight through tree branches - it was very beautiful. Almost worth struggling with my run.

3~A sandwich for my lunch from Rudi's. The best sandwich shop in town.

Monday

1~Cashing the cheque that has been languishing in my bag for ages at long last!

2~Bumping into my cousin who I haven't see for ages. It's a pity I had to dash back to work.

3~M&S flower topped cupcakes. So sweet. Anything to brighten up a grey, damp Monday.

4~Ms M's new furry coat. I like alot.

Late Saturday

1~Snowdrop spotting on the walk down towen to get Amaster T some new shoes. He's very proud of them.

2~An impromptu lunch in "so much more than a cafe"! Quite delicious comfort food - macaroni cheese and chips. Not really what I needed after last night's curry, but at least I went for a run today, ~4.5miles plod in the rain.

3~Spending the night with friends. Good company, good food, good drink and a fab new music system.....wow!

Friday Catch Up

1~ A trip to Dobbies with chums. Spent no money (apart from some lovely scones). Might have to go back when I am child free for a proper look around!

2~A takeaway curry for tea. Yummy scrummy!

3~A little bit of housework. The house is making me a little happier!

Wednesday

An uneventful day with travel stresses.

1~Mango with my muesli.

2~Tasty tarts for lunch.

3~Reading to Master T after a HUGE fight!

Tuesday

1~Snow again. It was lovely to get up to the snow again this morning. Not enough to get snowed in though! Went for a run tonight (which was rubbish) and had to contend with frozen snowy pavements. Not such a good idea fter all.

2~An interesting day observing interviews.

3~Having my tea made for me. Great!!

Sunny Sunday

1~ A lovely run on a crisp and frosty morning. Pity I lost it on the steep hill. Next time I will run all the way! This was followed by another walk by the river to the old station and the purchase of some lovely bread and biscuits. White bread - as I was told I necer buy white bread!

2~Another proper Sunday lunch.

3~The prospect of a good read, and the satisfaction of finishing two books this weekend. One was very short though - Ethel and Ernest.

Friday already

1~ A visit to Almond Valley park with friends. It was great, but sooooooooooo cold. Look forward to visiting again on a warmer day!

2~Snowdrop spotting in the garden. There are some almost out. Will do some more spotting this weekend.

3~Time to catch up with the washing and ironing before heading to grandma's for the weekend.

Thursday

1~Seeing Master T playing catch this morning (he seemed so much better today). He loved being called butter fingers!

2~Lunch out with colleagues. My lunch came with chips!!! Hurrah!!

3~Master T fast asleep when I arrived at nursery. So peaceful. Unfortunately I had to wake him up :( He hadn't been himself today. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow for his playdate.

Sunday

1~A long lie. Master T was very happy playing with his cousins and their toys. If only I could have been bothered to read.

2~A lovely Sunday lunch cooked by my b-in-law. Delicious!

3~A visit to here. Delightful. It closed at 4pm - which seemed early (and the cafe had closed at 3pm - very early). Master T had fun though and made an aeroplane. Would have been nice to have stayed longer.

Late Thursday

1~A delightful dinner with colleagues, fabulous food and company.

2~A lovely gift of a rose schfer beetle - beautiful.

3~Learning so much at a meeting where I knew nothing. Wasn't able to contribute - but very interesting.
